The Perak State Secretary Incorporated (SSI) Tower in Jalan Sultan Idris Shah here is set to become Ipoh's latest landmark when it is completed at year-end.

Located on a 0.6 hectare site, the 11-storey building will replace the present state secretariat at the Perak Darul Ridzuan building.

The tower is being developed by MB Inc.'s subsidiary, Amanjaya Properties Sdn Bhd and Man Hoe Properties Sdn Bhd a with gross development value of RM100 million.

MB Inc. Chief Executive Officer Datuk Aminudin Hashim said the SSI Tower adopted the Small Office Home Office concept.

"It houses commercial and mixed development facilities such as a hotel, a clinic, shops and a cafeteria," he told reporters after the SSI Tower's handing over ceremony which was officiated by Perak State Secretary Datuk Seri Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan. -- BERNAMA
