Good news for individuals who are passionate about highlighting social issues.

Under the British Council’s ‘Journalism for Social Good’ programme, you may stand a chance to undergo training by Pioneer Post, win a three-months internship with local media, Astro AWANI and have your video aired online

To participate, one needs to film a short video with a maximum duration of two to three minutes following certain criteria and upload it onto the YouTube.

Shortlisting of the top ten and final judging will be based on quality of content, creativity, technical aspects, storyline and visual engagement.

The shortlisted participants will attend a 3-Day Training Workshop with Pioneers Post, a leading UK-based social enterprise online news organisation.

During this period, they will be given tips on how to add value to their journalistic output with the aim of creating awareness in Malaysia.

The winning team will then have an opportunity to upscale their work and have greater exposure to high-quality journalism which showcases social enterprise initiatives through video journalism to create awareness and a three-months internship with Astro AWANI.

The competition is open to Malaysians aged 21 to 30.
