The plate of 'nasi goreng kampung' was just 'too hot' for him.

Annoyed, Singaporean national Lau Thiam Huat lodged a police report at the Johor Baru Central police station after consuming the fried rice at a restaurant in Jalan Bukit Timbalan here.

The 63-year-old claimed that the fried rice was too hot and spicy. "To this day I still taste the spiciness of the fried rice that I consumed last night," he wrote in the report.

Lau patronised the unnamed shop at 9pm on April 30. He lodged the report 24 hours later.

"I suspect that they cook the fried rice and put too much chilies," Lau said in the report.

He said he was unhappy with the food he ate and wanted a medical examination at the hospital.

When contacted by Astro AWANI, Johor Baru South Deputy Police Chief, Supt Abdul Samad Salleh confirmed receiving the report but declined comments.

The police report went viral on social media over the past two days.
