JOHOR BAHRU: Police will conduct an investigation into a viral video of a group of individuals partying at a concert in Ayer Itam near Batu Pahat recently.

Johor police chief, Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the investigation was to identify the organiser and those involved in the concert.

He however said to date, police have not received any reports regarding the event.

"Definitely there was no standard operating procedures (SOP) compliance and partying is not allowed as it will create anxiety among the public" he told a media conference here today.

Kamarul was replying to a question if the police had received any report regarding the video.

He said police will investigate the matter under the Prevention And Control of Infectious Disease Act 1988 (Act 342)

In the 52-second viral video a group of men and women were seen dancing to music being performed by a band and not adhering to the SOPs.
