Pensioners can play a vital role in disseminating accurate information to the people on the government's policies and programmes to help the Barisan Nasional (BN) win the next general election, Malacca Chief
Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said today.

He said the pensioners were at one time experienced government employees who had worked with dedication.

They would surely not want to see the country they loved falling into the hands of people inexperienced to administer it, he said when closing a community leadership course organised by the Terengganu branch of the Malaysian Government Pensioners Association, here.

A total of 240 members of the association from Terengganu participated in the three-day course, run by the Terengganu Community Development Agency, which began on Thursday.
