The Education Ministry is leaving it to police to investigate allegations that a teacher from Shah Alam had performed oral sex on two 11-year-old pupils during a school trip to Ayer Keroh, Malacca, last year.

Its minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said if the immoral behaviour of the 28-year-old man was proven, disciplinary action would be taken against him automatically.

It was reported in a newspaper today that the teacher was held after he was summoned to the Malacca police headquarters to give his statement on Tuesday over a report lodged by one of the pupils in Shah Alam on Sunday.

It is understood that the boy, who is also from the same school in Shah Alam, had accused the teacher of performing oral sex on them at a homestay in Ayer Keroh in October, last year.

In the police report, the boy claimed that he had woken up when the man caressed him but did not dare question him as he was their co-curriculum teacher.

Earlier, Mahdzir who opened the Sekolah Kebangsaan Parit Mahang parent-teacher association meeting, handed over a mock cheque for RM500,000 to the Selangor Education Department for the construction of a multi-purpose hall at the school.
