Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today took time off his busy schedule to visit national golfer Shaaban Hussin who is being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) after an accident last Thursday.

"Assistance and moral support via the Malaysian Golfers' Association, National Sports Council and the National Athletes Welfare Foundation will give Shaaban and his family encouragement to go through this difficult time," said Najib in his latest posting on his Facebook site here today.

Shaaban, 36, who was riding a high-powered motorcycle, skidded while trying avoid a car which stopped at the side of Guthrie Highway on March 31.

In the incident, Shaaban was on his way from his house in Kota Damansara to the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam for training for the PGM Darul Aman Championship in Kedah, this week.

Shaaban's best achievement this season was fifth placing in the PGM CCM Rahman Putra Championship at Rahman Putra Club in Sungai Buloh.
