RapidKL will continue to operate the monorail shuttle service between the KL Sentral and Hang Tuah monorail stations, and between the Imbi and Titiwangsa monorail stations on Monday.

Rapid Rail CEO Khairani Mohamed said results of the computerised data analysis on the integrity of the guide way between the Hang Tuah and Imbi monorail stations will only be known on Monday afternoon.

"Our consultant has been gathering data from monitoring devices the past several days following requests from the Fire and Rescue Services Department for us to temporarily suspend monorail services between the Imbi and Hang Tuah monorail stations due to sinkholes that occurred at the City Hall underpass project near Jalan Pudu and Jalan Hang Tuah junction last Thursday," he said in a statement here Sunday.

He said the sector between the Imbi and Hang Tuah monorail station remains closed temporarily.

"We have received the green light from the authorities to operate the sectors between KL Sentral and Hang Tuah and between Imbi and Titiwangsa," he said.

In addition, Khairani suggested that commuters plan their journey as the monorail shuttle service that would operate from single platform might be congested and lead to minor delays.

"We wish to request commuters to adhere to the announcement that would be made via the platform public address system from time to time to ensure a more comfortable journey," he said.
