Malaysia remains committed in its search of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 which disappeared exactly one year ago, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
“Malaysia remains committed to the search and hopeful that MH370 will be found,” said the Prime Minister in a statement today.
Najib also expressed his sadness over the event adding that this had been the most complex event in aviation history.
“Today, we stand united in remembering and honouring the 239 people, including 50 Malaysians on board MH370. Our prayers are with them and their loved ones left behind – whose sorrow we hare.
“The disappearance of MH370 is without precedent, and so too is the search – by far the most complex and technically challenging event in aviation history,” said Najib.
Apart from that, he also expressed his gratefulness to the international teams involved in looking for the plane.
“Malaysia has brought together a huge international team to find the plane, and we will never forget the dedication of those who helped. To the men and women who continue to work tirelessly to find MH370’s final resting place- Thank you,” said the PM.
Today, the world around commemorates the anniversary of flight MH370 which disappeared exactly one year ago.
The Boeing 777-200ER carrying 239 passengers, mostly Chinese, and crew, was scheduled to land in Beijing at 6:30 am. It is believed to have ended in the Indian Ocean.
