The director-general of the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), Datuk Azharuddin Abdul Rahman confirmed that no evidence has been found by the search and rescue (SAR) team at the site where three floating objects was reported to have been traced by the Chinese satellite, reported APTN.

“There was nothing, we went to the location, there was nothing,” said Azharuddin to reporters.

Earlier on Thursday, China’s Civil Aviation chief, Li Jianxiang had said that there was no evidence showing that the floating objects traced by Chinese satellite in the South China Sea was connected to the missing flight MH370.

It was reported that the objects were estimated to be around 13 by 18 meters, 14 by 19 meters and 24 by 22 meters and found at 105.63 degrees longitude East and 6.7 degrees latitude North.

Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein through his Twitter account confirmed that the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) had deployed a multi-purpose Bombardier aircraft into the South China Sea, the site where the three objects were located by the satellite.
