The Kuching Medical Centre Cluster is deemed to have ended today after no cases were detected for 28 days since the onset of the last case in the cluster, said the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

The cluster, involving a medical facility in Kuching, was declared on July 17 after three cases were confirmed from the screening of 101 people.

SDMC, in a statement, said eight clusters involving 64 cases are still active.

The number of positive cases who have recovered as of today remains at 659, or 96.63 per cent of the cumulative figure for cases in the state.

No new cases were reported today, keeping the tally for positive cases at 682.
