Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar reminded all quarters not to question the decision of the Federal Court concerning the issue of "Kalimah Allah".

He said this was because the police would not hesitate to take action against those who questioned the court's decision to the extent of making seditious remarks.

"I would like to warn all quarters to be extra careful in making statements because we (police) will not hesitate to take action against them under the Sedition Act," he told reporters Wednesday.

Last Monday, the Catholic Church's legal fight over the right to use the word "Allah" to refer to God in its weekly Herald ended Wednesday after the Federal Court here denied its application for leave to appeal.

Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria chairing a seven-member panel delivered a 4-3 majority decision against the church.
