Nuriey Nadhirah Ruslan who was believed to have been bitten by a snake, based on a bite mark on her left calf, at about 10am during recess while playing in a garden near her classroom.
Nazir Razak takes leave to allow review into US$7 mil transfer
CIMB Group Holdings Chairman Datuk Seri Nazir Razak confirmed that he will voluntarily take a leave of absence starting Apr 19.
This was to allow an independent review to be carried into the bank’s process and policies, regarding a US$7 million transfer issue.
Christoph Mueller bids farewell to MAB in September
Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) announced that its CEO and managing director Christoph Mueller will leave the company in September 2016, following his request to depart before the end of his three-year contract.
In ensuring continuity and an orderly succession, Mueller will serve a six-month notice period to September 2016.
He has also expressed his intention to the MAB Board of Directors (BOD) to remain with the airline as Non-Executive Director.

Two pieces of debris found on beaches in Mozambique almost certainly originated from MH370, according to the Technical Examination Report released by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).
Australian Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Darren Chester said the report pointed to both pieces being from the wing of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
Ipoh 'headless' man pleads netizens to stop taking pictures of him
A video of a ‘headless’ man in Ipoh became viral in the last few days after it was uploaded on the Internet recently.
In the 12 seconds video, a man is filmed from the back is seen walking when suddenly his head disappears.
Papagomo barred from entering Sarawak
Controversial blogger Papagomo or his real name, Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris has become the latest individual to be barred from entering Sarawak by the Immigration Department.
Papagomo, who is also an UMNO Wangsa Maju exco member was denied entry upon his arrival at the Kuching International Airport via AirAsia Flight AK8672 from Kuala Lumpur around 12.15pm on Apr 20.

El Nino: Senator suggests air-conditioner for schools
A senator today suggested that classrooms in schools be equipped with air conditioners so that learning sessions are not affected during the El Nino phenomenon.
Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah said such a move was to ensure that students could complete their syllabus especially those sitting for examinations and to prevent the schools from being closed during extremely hot weather.
Schoolgirl bitten by snake in stable condition
A Year Two schoolgirl who was bitten by a snake during physical education at the school field yesterday is in stable condition, according to the Negeri Sembilan Education Department.
Its director, Rusni Ab Jalil, said the pupil of Sekolah Kebangsaan Chembong here was being closely monitored at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital.
The girl's mother had informed her that the girl's health was improving and she could eat and drink.

Cockroach in food: Hospital to compensate patient RM67,000
Selangor Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd, owner of KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital, was ordered to pay RM67,000 in compensation to a Tabung Haji customer service officer after he had realised that he had eaten the head of a cockroach in the meal served to him while receiving treatment at the hospital last year.
Due to the incident, Wan Hailmey Mahrawi, 38, was reported to have sustained nauseousness, vomiting, abdominal pain and high fever.
Rayani Air staff threaten legal action over salary arrears
Rayani Air staff are threatening to take legal action if salary arrears of RM1.5 million due to about 400 of its workers in March are not paid up by April 26.
Rayani Air Operations Manager at the KLIA2, Zulkalnain Azdan said legal action would be taken against the airline's chief executive officer Ravi Alagendrran and his wife, Datuk Karthiyani Govindan, who are the owners.

Ayah Pin, whose real name was Ariffin Muhamad, died at his home in Kampung Batu 13 in Hulu Besut, Besut around 8.30pm.
His wife, Che Jaharah Awang, 56, the-74-year-old died due to old age and in the presence of family members.

July 22 has been declared a public holiday in Sarawak, to commemorate the state's independence from British rule, Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said.

Sabah today made history when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak launched the RM12.86 billion Sabah Pan Borneo Highway mega project in Kampung Andus here.
About 20,000 people were present to witness the launch which was also attended by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
The total stretch of the Sabah Pan Borneo Highway project is 1,236 kilometres starting from Sindumin to Tawau, Tamparuli to Ranau and spanning over Kimanis-Keningau-Tawau.
