MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek (pic) hoped that the party's polls next month will proceed smoothly and not lead to a 'party crisis'.

He said the party had no political capital to be involved in infighting anymore as 'we are in the lowest point of MCA's history'.

"If we continue to fight, we are gone. We hope this party election will proceed smoothly and not become a party crisis," he told a newsmen after opening Selangor MCA's annual convention here today.

The former health minister urged MCA leaders to work as a team after the party election and stressed that the new leadership should be inclusive of all factions to move forward.

"After the party election, MCA leaders should come together as a team. This is party election, no such thing as winners take all, and losers lose all," he added.
