An 11-year-old girl believed she was almost abducted by two men who arrived in a van at a car park in Wisma Persekutuan, Anak Bukit here yesterday.

Her mother, Nor Asilawani Mohd Sehut said the incident occurred at 7.27am when she went to her office to clock in her attendance while the girl, identified only as Zara, waited outside the family car.

"I was shocked to see my daughter running towards me after I punched in the card. She looked scared as if she was chased by someone," she told reporters here today.

It was then she was told by Zara that two men in a black van had asked her name and offered sweets.

Nor Asilawani, 43, lodged a report at the Anak Bukit police station.

Kota Setar police chief ACP Mohd Rozi Jidin confirmed having received the report.
