MACHANG: The campaign momentum of all Kelantan Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates contesting the 15th General Election (GE15) thus far is on the best track, said its state chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub.

Ahmad Jazlan, who is also the BN candidate for the Machang parliamentary seat, said people's support for the candidate was also seen to be increasing due to the efforts and work done by the machinery to ensure that the voters in the area benefit as much as possible.

"We hope the voters in this state will continue to give BN candidates a chance to win," he told reporters after a meeting with Kelantan BN candidates at Bukit Tiu, here today.

He was still optimistic that BN would achieve its target of winning nine parliamentary seats in Kelantan.

In GE14, Kelantan BN won five of the 14 parliamentary seats, namely Machang, Ketereh, Jeli, Tanah Merah and Gua Musang, but lost two seats after that after the incumbents of the Jeli parliamentary seat, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz (Tanah Merah) quit UMNO and joined Bersatu.
