Muslims in this country should always pray for the COVID-19 outbreak that hit the world to end before the upcoming Haj season.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, said it was too early to determine the status of haj pilgrims who had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land this year.

"This is something we need to look at closer to the Haj season.

"Now we have four months left, so by that time, maybe we will pray to Allah that such an outbreak is over, InsyaAllah.

"In fact, there is no need to ask if the outbreak will persist. Let's wait, InsyaAllah," he said at a press conference after officiating the ‘tahnik’ ceremony at the Tuanku Mizan Sultan Zainal Abidin Mosque here today.
