The Kuala Lumpur High Court today struck out the lawsuit filed by a retired military personnel against the former Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and four others for allegedly abetting in degrading the ATM by cutting the salaries of its officers.
Judicial Commissioner Datuk Roslan Abu Bakar made the decision after allowing the application by the federal counsel V. Krishna Priya, who represented all the defendants, namely Tuanku Abdul Halim, the prime minister, the chief secretary to the government , Armed Forces chief and the Malaysian Government.
Roslan also ordered the plaintiff, Tengku Zainal Abidin Tengku Yusoff, 63, who retired with the rank of captain to pay cost of RM20,000 to all defendants.
The proceedings today, however, took place at the Shah Alam High Court as Roslan is now assigned there.
The suit is the sixth civil action filed by Tengku Zainal Abidin involving similar claims after the court rejected his claims in 1995, 2001, 2007, 2012, and 2015. - BERNAMA
