Tickets for the initial 36 North American dates, which run until November 12 and will see Jackson perform in New York, Florida, Georgia, Las Vegas, California and Hawaii, will go on sale via her own janetjackson.com website on June 22, where news about further dates and further destinations will shortly be announced.

With total sales of over 160 million records, despite living in brother Michael's shadow, Janet Jackson is one of the most successful female performers in music history.

At the beginning of June she announced a new deal with BMG, one of the biggest in history, to own her own record label -- Rhythm Nation. Its first release will be "Unbreakable," her first studio album for seven years.
