English electronic band Depeche Mode have revealed further details about their upcoming album and dates for an ambitious world tour, as well as a festival performance.

According to the group, their 14th studio album and the follow-up to 2013's "Delta Machine" will be unleashed next year in early spring, and is to be titled "Spirit."

The album will be produced by Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford and follows the band's recent announcement that they will release a "Video Singles Collection" -- featuring various music videos and commentary from throughout their career -- on November 11 via Sony Music Entertainment.

Announcing their world tour at a livestreamed event from Milan, Depeche Mode also confirmed a string of 2017 shows to take place, starting in Sweden on May 5, and ending in Romania on July 23).
