THE 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, the highest honors in the music industry, was handed out at a ceremony on Sunday, broadcasted on CBS television and hosted by Trevor Noah.

Beyoncé, 39, made history by winning the most Grammy awards for any living artist with 28 awards after winning four at this year's ceremony. With 28 trophies, Beyonce ties with producer Quincy Jones. She also surpassed country-bluegrass artist Alison Krauss, who’d held the record with 27 Grammys.

The night’s top contender with nine nominations, donned an off-the-shoulder black mini dress, black sunglasses and a black mask which she accessorised with shoulder-length earrings.

Queen Bey earned her 28th win on Sunday, picking up honors like best R&B performance for “Black Parade," best music video for “Brown Skin Girl" as well as best rap performance and best rap song for “Savage," with Megan Thee Stallion.

The Grammy award-winning song is to honor the “beautiful Black kings and queens" in the world.

“As an artist, I believe it’s my job and all of our jobs to reflect the times and it’s been such a difficult time,” Beyoncé said onstage as she won best R&B performance for “Black Parade".

While the former Destiny’s Child singer became the most decorated female act in Grammy history, her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, made history  as the second-youngest person to ever win a Grammy Award in a show’s 63-year history. She won in the Best Music Video category for Beyoncé's “Brown Skin Girl” video.

Her husband Jay-Z also shares the limelight for the best rap song win since he co-wrote “Savage".
