SPU police chief ACP Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said, currently, they lacked such vehicles to deliver aid, which they had collected, to the flood victims.
"We have made a collection among officers and personnel at the SPU police headquarters. I believe the delivery can be made in stages if there is adequate transportation as a lot more collected items have yet to be sent.
"Our focus is to extend aid to victims who are cut off. I have also contacted my counterparts there to smoothen the distribution process.
"I will be very appreciative if any party can offer their vehicles for use to facilitate the aid mission," he told reporters after flagging off an aid convoy to flood victims, here, today.
The convoy was participated by 12 personnel who took along various equipment and foodstuff collected including biscuits, mineral water, milk, candles and children's clothes.

On Tuesday, five four-wheel-drive vehicles also left in a convoy to deliver aid to flood victims under the programme.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman said 50 police officers and personnel from SPU would be sent to flood areas to help in cleaning works as soon as the floods subsided.
"We will cooperate with the Police Contingent Headquarters and are prepared to send the personnel at any time.
"We are also committed and always ready to asist to lighten the burden of the flood victims especially on the east coast," he added.
