WONDA Coffee is celebrating its annual IWCD (International WONDA Coffee Day) on a bigger and better scale by bringing more WONDA-ful surprises to its fans.
This year, WONDA Coffee has teamed up with MRT Corp (Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd) to offer passengers a free ride to their chosen destination.
In the quest of delighting coffee loyalists and supporters everywhere, the premium ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee brand is taking it a step further to bring its creative WONDA Lane concept to MRT for the first time.
This exciting activation follows the coffee brand’s IWCD WONDA Lane campaign last year when they partnered with New Pantai Expressway (NPE) Highway. The collaboration saw WONDA Coffee treating passengers to a free pass through a special WONDA Lane along NPE toll.
Following last year’s success of WONDA Lane, WONDA Coffee is shifting its gear in adopting their creative concept from toll to public transportation for those commuting.
The WONDA Lane experience this year will involve WONDA Coffee occupying two turnstiles at Bandar Utama MRT Station. On top of that, WONDA Coffee is also the FIRST brand in Malaysia to execute this creative activation at MRT.
From 28th – 29th August between 7.30am – 7.30pm at Bandar Utama MRT Station, WONDA coffee supporters can head to Gate B through the linkway to 1 Utama Shopping Centre to experience the excitement. As WONDA Coffee is as an on-the-go product, MRT commuters need not to worry at all. For two days, MRT riders will simply need to show any WONDA Coffee product (240ml can / 200ml pack / 340ml bottle) – as a form of currency to the brand’s booth for a free ride. They will then be directed to a dedicated ticketing machine at the station where WONDA Coffee representatives will queue and help obtain free tickets on their behalf. Riders can then enjoy walking through one out of the two WONDA Lane turnstiles accordingly.
In order to ensure that everyone has a fair and memorable experience, each customer is entitled to only ONE (1) free ride per day valid one-way.
This exciting promotion also operates through a first-come-first-serve basis and is strictly limited to the first 3,000 passengers per day.
“Each year, WONDA Coffee promises to continue in bringing a bigger and better IWCD celebration to coffee enthusiasts, everywhere. This year, we decided to partner with MRT to create a unique experience through WONDA Lane for our consumers in order to brighten up their journey”, said Santharuban T. Sundaram, Vice President of Marketing at Etika Sdn Bhd.
Santharuban added, “Given the connection between morning coffee and the mad rush to work we felt that this would be an engagement with commuters. It is also a great way to encourage and promote coffee lovers to try the “just brewed taste” and delicious variants that WONDA Coffee has to offer through this engagement”.
WONDA Coffee is also running a simple and fun Instagram photo contest “Peraduan #wefiekopiwonda” which has started on Aug 28 and will end on Sept 2 where fans can stand a chance to win a RM10,000 cash prize.
All contestants need to do is take a creative wefie (in group) with your family, friends and even colleagues with WONDA Coffee product, add on a creative caption to show how you will be celebrating IWCD and hashtag #wefiekopiwonda.
The most creative photo and caption will walk away with RM10,000 in cash!
