THE Biossance brand has chosen American actress and producer Reese Witherspoon as its new global ambassador. The star of "The Morning Show" joins a long list of celebrities who are committed to a more skin-friendly and environmentally-friendly beauty.

We can't keep track of the number of stars from the worlds of film and music who have launched their own cosmetic brand in recent years such as Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Millie Bobby Brown, Jessica Alba, and even Pharrell Williams. And if there is a common point between all these launches, it is the celebrities' involvement in what the brand stands for: vegan, cruelty-free, natural or organic, and/or advocating values of inclusion and diversity. Today, it seems impossible to launch your own brand without highlighting one of these fields of activism in the beauty sector... and that's a good thing!

While she's not launching her own brand of cosmetics, Reese Witherspoon is turning to clean beauty by becoming the global ambassador of the brand Biossance, as Women's Wear Daily (WWD) has exclusively revealed. And she's signed up for a period of five years.

Beyond the status of brand ambassador, the American actress will have a role focusing on education, a key value for Biossance, as its president Catherine Gore underlines in an interview with the specialized site. Reese Witherspoon will share information about the products and their development, but also produce content; something she is already adept at with her company Hello Sunshine (which produces a podcast, newsletter, website, book club, etc.) celebrating women.

Known for her roles in "Cruel Intentions," "Legally Blonde", and "Wild," Reese Witherspoon has also been seen in television series such as "Big Little Lies" and "The Morning Show."
