Known for his easygoing and funny demeanour, the late Tan Sri SM Salim was a darling of the Malaysian media. The legendary singer died on Dec 29 at his residence in Ukay Perdana, Ampang at around 5.44pm due to old age. He is survived by a wife and six children.
