LionsXII remain wary of the threat posed by Selangor PKNS when both teams battle it out on Tuesday.

Nevertheless, the Singaporeans have the added advantage on paper after having won their last two consecutive matches.

The Islanders managed 1-0 victories over Armed Forces in Paroi in their opening match and Selangor at the Jalan Besar Stadium last Saturday.

Despite fielding a rather young cast, Singapore has been playing convincingly as they gear up for the Myanmar Sea Games later this year.

Nevertheless, LionsXII coach V.Sundramoothy believes PKNS will offer a new challenge to his team.

The Lions are set to rely on set-pieces to obtain their goals.

“We are working on set pieces during training and throughout the season we hope to get some goals from such tactics,” said Sundramoorthy.

“It’s another tough match but we hope to execute our plans well and get full points.”

With many new faces in the line up, Lions are still considered a threat in the Super League this season,

They still have the likes of Baihakki Khaizan dan skipper Shahril Ishak who formed the backbone of the winning AFF Cup squad last year.
