A Victory for Malaysia in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 which kicks off at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Sunday will be the best gift for national goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat who will be ending his bachelor days on Dec 28.

The 23-year-old player announced yesterday that he will be tying the knot with his sweetheart Nur Eilunie Natasha Nazri, better known as Leuniey Natasha, at the latter's home in Pasir Pekan, Tumpat, Kelantan.

Khairul Fahmi, said though wedding bells were in the air, he was fully focused on the AFF tournament, of which Malaysia are the defending champions.

"My family and fiance's family will be helping in the preparations as the wedding will be just six days after the AFF tournament ends. This allows me to be fully focused on the AFF Cup and I hope the fans will come out in full force to support the national team," he told a press conference here to announce the date of his wedding.

The final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 will be held on Dec 22.

Khairul Fahmi, who is more popularly known as 'Apek', also announced that he and his wife would be holding an 'English Garden Style' reception at Hotel Royale Bintang, Damansara here on Jan 13, 2013.

The bride's side would be holding a contemporary Malay style reception at Hotel Renaissance, Kota Baharu on Dec 30 while his side would be holding their Malay wedding reception at his home in Kampung Chenang, Kota Baaru on Jan 5, 2013, he added.

Malaysia and Thailand are joint hosts of the AFF Suzuki Cup which will be held from Nov 24 til Dec 22.
