Ten cyclists from Terengganu including three women have been selected to represent the country at the Asian Cycling Championships in Korat, Thailand from Feb 4 to 15.

Terengganu Cycling Association chief coach Syed Mohd Hussaini Syed Mazlan said this is the largest cycling squad from Terengganu chosen for such a meet.

"It is a heavy responsibility entrusted by the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) to Terengganu," he told Bernama today.

According to Syed Mohd Hussaini, the male athletes would be commencing centralised training in Malacca on Tuesday while the women cyclists would train in Bangi starting tomorrow.

The male cyclists comprised Aiman Zarif, Zulhadri Amin Zulkarnain, Mohd Firdaus Awang, Mohd Najib Ismail, Mohd Amin Mohd Kamal, Mohd Amir Mohd Kamal and Mohd Azri Ahmad while the women racers are Ummi Hamimah Mohamad, Siti Aishah Zubir and Syarifah Ilyana Syed Zulkifli.
