UMNO Pemuda chief Khairy Jamaluddin said a two-term limit was too short for the party president to implement plans that would benefit UMNO members and the people.

He was responding to UMNO deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's suggestion to limit the party president's term during a speech at a gathering at Kampung Baru here yesterday.

"Not much can be done in two terms; it is merely six years. For me it is too short," he told reporters after a luncheon with Pemuda delegates in conjunction with the UMNO General Assembly 2015, which commenced today.

Nevertheless, he said, the proposal was open to discussion.

Meanwhile, Khairy said Pemuda UMNO would raise issues relating to the economy and living costs which are affecting the youth, during the general assembly.
