PKR has betrayed the solidarity among Pakatan Rakyat allies in the Selangor Menteri Besar issue, said PAS Central committee member Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz.

In a Facebook posting yesterday, Nik Abduh who is also the PAS’s spiritual leader Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat’s son, said PKR’s recognition of the support by two PAS assemblymen for PKR president as the new Selangor MB was a betrayal to the party.

PAS’s Shaari Sungib (Hulu Kelang) and Hasnul Baharuddin (Morib) had thrown their support behind Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as thenew MB but were later told to retract their stand.

Nik Abduh said the betrayal that PAS had been accused of was actually started by the two assemblymen.

“You are seeing what is happening in PAS now. It all started with the betrayal of the two assemblymen,” he wrote.

The Pasir Mas state assemblyman said following PKR’s betrayal, PAS was unable to implement the decisions taken during the PAS Syura Council to maintain the current MB, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

He said as a result, Abdul Hadi was only left with two choices – leave PR or in a gentlemanly manner - fix the situation.

He said PAS had been called a U-turn party by its own allies over the recent developments in the Selangor MB issue.

“And when the palace asked for each parties to submit more than two names, PR failed to unite,” he added.

He said PKR did not appreciate PAS’s tolerance nor did the party manage to defuse the situation between the two parties.

He also accused DAP of not caring for the stability within the pact.

So who started the betrayal and who is now continuing it?

He said Abdul Hadi and the Islamic party have been portraying high tolerance all this while but cautioned that this may not be the case all the time.
