The Penang Government is prepared to cooperate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on the state government's allocations which were approved for the Voluntary Patrol Squad
(PPS).

Lauding any MACC investigation, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the state government would not conceal any information (pertaining to PPS).

In a statement today, he said he regarded the continuous false accusations and deceit against PPS as violent political attacks on the DAP-led state government.

Yesterday, the Penang MACC had stated it was scrutinising reports on the possibility of abuse of funds and state government allocation behind the setting up of PPS.

Penang MACC director, Datuk M. Samarajoo said MACC would open an investigation file if there were elements of corruption or misconduct.
