KUALA LUMPUR:After the 2021 Budget is approved at the policy stage, the Opposition will start an 'attack' in the debate at the committee stage starting Monday.

Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said they will rummage through and refute all issues involving all ministries without any exception.

"At that time (during the committee stage) we will attack. If there is no answer, we will reject.

“We will go ministry after ministry. Come another, the Ministry of Communications, allocate JASA with RM85 million in the situation of people being unemployed.

“The RM300 allowance is to pay tens of thousands to these officers for their political work.

“The Ministry of Housing, the allocation for political officials was raised, the minister's supporters were appointed to certain positions.

"We will attack and from there, we have the right to vote to reject.

“At the committee stage, we can still reject.

“Finally, on December 15, if all this goes well, there are already seven, eight, nine ministries, we have the right to reject the Budget on December 15,” he said in a video interview with TheVibes.com.

Meanwhile, Anwar stressed that he had expected their supporters, especially in urban areas, to be furious after seeing what happened in the Dewan Rakyat on November 26.

However, he accepted every objection and respected their views.

"If we say we reject, win or lose is another question.

“People say, help us also you want to reject, police allowance also want to reject, allowance for health staff also want to reject.

“What do you (the Opposition) ask for, the EPF and the moratorium, the minister agrees, you also reject?

"Then it will of course be taken politically, that we violate the order of Tuanku Agong because in this context, when there is a concession by the Minister of Finance and we still oppose, there is a problem.

"I think with all these, even though I know the core of our support, especially in the city, there will be overflow of anger," he said.
