After a three-day sitting, the 2015 UMNO General Assembly will conclude today with party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak expected to deliver his winding up speech and message to all party members.

The 2,654 delegates from 191 divisions present as well as UMNO members throughout the country are certainly eager to listen to the Prime Minister's speech.

For the first time, the UMNO General Assembly will see only the president speaking at the winding-up session unlike in the past when the deputy president and the three vice-presidents also spoke.

The change was decided at a special meeting of the UMNO Supreme Council on Wednesday.

Eleven debaters were scheduled to continue the debate on the motion on the economy beginning at 8.30 am after three delegates spoke in the debate yesterday.

This was followed by the tabling of the motions on religion and education which were scheduled to be debated by 14 representatives from the states besides the Wanita, Youth and Puteri movements.

On Friday, the motion on the president's policy speech was passed unanimously after 15 representatives debated on it since Thursday after the official opening by Najib.
