IGP Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar today warned the local media from giving space to Islamic State (IS) or Daish militants to be 'glamorous'.

He said he had warned the media before this from giving space to the militants.

"If you threaten national security, we will take action against you. Take that as a warning from me," he told reporters Hari Raya Open House hosted by him at Police Training Centre (PULAPOL)

Referring to a local daily which interviewed the Malaysian militants in Syria, Muhammad Wanndy Mohamed Jedi, he said such action can affect the country's security.

"The media, your responsibility is also towards the safety and security of our beloved country. So, don’t go and give space to people who threaten us," he said.
