Three editors of The Malaysian Insider (TMI) news portal have been released from the Dang Wangi police station after having their statements recorded.
TMI managing editor Lionel Morais, features and analysis editor Zulkifli Sulong and Malay section editor Amin Shah Iskandar were freed around 8.45pm today.
This was confirmed by representing lawyer, Syahredzan Johan via his Twitter.
Syahredzan also clarified that the portal's chief executive, Jahabar Sadiq and The Edge Media Group CEO, Ho Kay Tat, who were detained this morning, were being held overnight at the Dang Wangi police station.
The remand application for the duo will be heard at 10.30am tomorrow.

Morais, Zulkifli and Amin Shah were arrested by police at the TMI office in Mutiara Damansara on Monday around 5.50pm.
The trio's arrest was made following a complaint made by several Barisan Nasional MPs – over the news portal’s March 25 report that the Conference of Rulers had rejected an amendment to the federal law for hudud to be implemented in Kelantan.

The trio were investigated under Section 4 of the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Meanwhile, the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Institute of Journalists Malaysia (IoJ) and the Foreign Correspondents Club of Malaysia (FCCM) condemned the arrest of the five media personnel.
