The Titiwangsa Lake Garden here will be entirely closed to the public for all activities from Jan 2017 to Dec 2018.

A statement from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) today said it was to give way to the implementation of the 'River of Life' project which involved the whole park.

"The upgrading of the park is for the convenience and comfort of visitors in the future," he said adding that the appointed contractor would begin installing hoardings in January.

"During the shutdown period the public is advised to not visit the lake garden for safety reasons," the statement said. -- BERNAMA
