The police have detained three men in separate operations yesterday, in connection with the murder of two men at Jalan Bristol, Rawang, on Tuesday.

Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the three men, aged between 18 and 22, were picked up around Rawang, Gombak and Setapak Jaya.

"The first suspect was arrested at a house in Taman Pelangi, Rawang at about 1pm, second suspect was arrested in front of the Gombak police headquarters at 6.40pm while the third was arrested in a premise in Persiaran Rejang, Setapak Jaya at 8pm," he told a press conference here today.

He said the police also seized a ring and a gold necklace believed to belong to one of the victims.

"The latest arrests bring to five the number of people picked up and this case is considered solved with the arrest of the suspects.

"However, police are tracking several other individuals to facilitate the investigation," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. In the 1am incident, the two men, in their 20s, were found dead in a four-wheel drive vehicle.

One of the victims ended with a slit throat and his close friend strangled allegedly due to a misunderstanding with one of the suspects.

Members of the public stumbled on the vehicle about eight hours later before alerting the police.

In a follow-up operation about 9am on Tuesday, a police team detained two men in Rawang in connection with the double murder.
