KUALA LUMPUR: A 22-second video featuring the crew of the ill-fated KRI Nanggala 402 submarine has gone viral on social media.

In the video, nine crew members of the submarine were seen singing a song entitled 'Sampai Jumpa' (Till We Meet).

The video was shared by the original singer of the song, Erix Soekamti, on his Instagram page in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Through the video, it was clear that a crew member was playing the guitar, while other members sang the lyrics of the song 'Sampai Jumpa' in a space believed to be in the KRI Nanggala 402 submarine.

Earlier, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Hadi Tjahjanto, in his press conference confirmed that all 53 crew members of KRI Nanggala 402 had died.

He explained that the announcement was made after some parts of the submarine were found following a seabed search.

However, at 4.25 am after the launch permission order was given, communication with the submarine was cut off in the Balinese waters.
