The government today announced another area enforced under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said it involved six parcels at the Selayang Baru area near Gombak, Selangor.

“The EMCO is effective from April 25 to May 3, involving six identified parcels.

“The 7th EMCO is implemented to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection, taking into account the probability of COVID-19 infectivity in the Kuala Lumpur Daily Market and the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market.

"This measure will enable tracking activities to be carried out during this period," he told a daily (non-health) media conference on COVID-19 here today.

Among the areas involved are:

Zon A : Jalan Indah 3 dan Jalan Indah 5A, Selayang Indah, Gombak, Selangor
Zon B : Jalan Indah 21, Lembah Indah, Selayang Baru, Gombak, Selangor
Zon C : Jalan Besar Selayang Baru, Jalan 1 dan Jalan Indah 21, Selayang Baru, Gombak, Selangor
Zon D : Jalan 3, 5, 7 dan 9, Selayang Baru, Gombak, Selangor
Zon E : Jalan 2, 4, 6 dan 8, Selayang Baru, Gombak, Selangor
Zon F : Blok A, B dan C, Selayang Makmur, Gombak, Selangor

Ismail Sabri said that with the implementation of this order, all residents would not be allowed to leave the EMCO area during the duration of the order other than non-residents and visitors would not be allowed to enter the area.

“All business activities in the area are stopped and a medical base will be opened in the EMCO area.

“All entrances to the EMCO area are closed where the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) and the Malaysian Volunteer Department (RELA) will control the entire area to make sure this order is obeyed,” he said.

All residents are requested to calm down and fully cooperate with the Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel and to comply with all directives from the authorities.
