Businessman Low Taek Jho, who is being sought by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) to help in the investigations into SRC International Sdn Bhd, will contact the commission soon.

A spokesman of his related this to The Malaysian Insider via a statement, the news portal reported last night.

The statement, according to the report, said Low has seen media reports that the MACC was requesting his assistance, and that this was the first time he was made aware of such a request.

The statement reportedly said Low's reps will contact the anti-graft body to render his assistance.

It also reportedly said that Low had not been served any notice.

Low, who is also known as Jho Low, is one of three people the MACC is seeking to facilitate their investigations into SRC International. The other two are SRC International managing director Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil and director Datuk Suboh Md Yassin.

In a media statement yesterday, MACC director of investigations Datuk Azam Baki had said the three were required to present themselves at the MACC Special Operations Division in Putrajaya.

They were also required to contact the Case Investigation Officer, Assistant Commissioner Rosli Husain at 010-3187757 or 03-88900752, or Assistant Commissioner Norkhafizin Isa at 019-6000345 or 03-88900754.

The statement also urged those who have any information on the three to alert the MACC.

SRC International is a former subsidiary of state development fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), which is under investigations.

Last month, the media reported that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) had asked Jho Low to voluntarily come forward to provide it with information on the 1MDB issue.

The PAC is looking into the dealings of 1MDB to find if there have been any irregularities.
