A post mortem is being conducted on the body of a seven-year--old boy, found in Sungai Sireh, Klang at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital.

The parents of William Yau Zhen Zhong, who has been missing since Jan 16 were seen by reporters at the hospital.

Yau Kok Kang, 38 and his wife, Goh Ying Ying, 26 had yesterday looked at the body, but will need to go through a detailed process of identification, which includes a DNA test today .

Last night, South Klang district police chief, ACP Mohamad Mat Yusop said the body was discovered floating near the jetty around 7.30pm, which was fished out by the villagers.

The body of the boy had an injury mark on his head and was found to be clad in an orange T-shirt and yellow shorts.

However it was unsure whether the injury was due to a bludgeon or being hit by a boat. Following the finding, the police had then notified William’s parents.

On Jan 16, William Yau Zhen Zhong was reported missing by his parents after he went looking for his parents, who had gone to an electrical shop.

The family had stopped at a shop in Jalan Putra Mahkota 7/6C, Putra Height at 8.30pm, to check on washing machines and left William with his elder brother and youngest sister inside a car.

When they returned to the car about 15 minutes later, William was gone.

William’s parent and the store employees helped them to look for the boy in the neighbourhood but the search proved to be unsuccessful.
