A car which was reported missing for four months, was found near a business centre at Jalan Kendi in Taman Indah here last night.

However, the police who were alerted of the Perodua Kenari's recovery by its owner, made a puzzling find in the bonnet.

They seized an automatic gun magazine containing seven live bullets, a wooden handle of an axe, a green military-style camouflage jacket and a file on a car repossessor.

Earlier, the car owner's 29-year-old husband who found a bullet casing under the driver's seat, reported the matter to the police about 9.30pm.

A police spokesman said today, the man was trying to locate the car over the past four months after receiving a warning letter from a bank over non-payment of monthly installments.

He said this was despite the car having been sold to a used-car salesman in Ipoh, Perak, early this year.

Seberang Perai Selatan police chief Supt Shafien Mamat confirmed the incident.
