KUANTAN: Two pilots and two passengers of a light aircraft were issued compound fines for travelling inter-state without authorisation after it landed at Kampung Tekek Airport on Pulau Tioman, Rompin about 147 kilometres from here yesterday.
Rompin police chief DSP Azari Miskon said the aircraft carrying the three men and a woman, took off from Subang Airport in Selangor and landed at the resort island airport at about 3 pm.
"Apart from the private pilots, the aircraft was boarded by the security manager and marketing manager of a diving company at a resort in Kampung Juara.
"They do not have a letter of permission to cross the state border from the police or letters from their employers which are required after the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is enforced in Selangor," he said in a statement.
Azari said they agreed to return to Subang Airport tomorrow morning, as the pilot claimed he did not have permission to fly the plane at night.
"For tonight, the Ministry of Health has issued quarantine bracelets to the four individuals and they are being monitored by the monitoring team until they leave tomorrow," he said.
