The Sessions Court here today set Nov 9 for case management of the trial of a lawyer accused of four charges of power abuse in his capacity as a company director.

Judge Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi fixed the date to enable Kamal Hisham Ja'afar's lawyers to obtain the complete set of relevant documents from the prosecution.

Kamal Hisham, 45, who is currently being held at the Ayer Molek detention centre here, was charged on Sept 8.

He allegedly abused his position as director of Syarikat Southern Ads Sdn Bhd in regard to business space rental at JB Sentral here, between 2009 and 2011, under the Companies Act 1965.

He is defended by counsel Mohd Ashram Zakaria and Datuk Hanif Hassan while the prosecution, by Mohd Azies Han Mohd Fadzil from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
