Newly appointed Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali is expected to finalise a fresh line-up of state executive councillors by Thursday to enable the installation to be held on Friday.

Azmin who was sworn-in as the new Selangor Menteri Besar today said in line with a call by the Sultan of Selangor to finalise everything quickly, discussions about the line-up will be held to decide the final list of councillors by Thursday.

As to the fate of the four incumbent Exco from PAS who were under former Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim's administration, Azmin said any decision taken would be based on the prior discussions.

"We will try to resolve the issues through discussions so that a decision can be made by Thursday, before the swearing-in ceremony," he told reporters at the Alam Shah Palace, here today.

The composition of the previous exco under Khalid Ibrahim was made up of four from PAS and three each from DAP and PKR.

The PAS representatives were Iskandar Abdul Samad, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, Sallehen Mukhyi, Dr Halimah Ali while PKR was represented by Dr Rodziah Ismail, Elizabeth Wong Keat Ping and Dr Daroyah Alwi.

The three DAP exco were Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Ean Yong Hian Wah and V. Ganapathi Rao.

On Aug 13, Khalid Ibrahim who was embroiled in a crisis with PKR, had sacked six exco members, three each from DAP and PKR.

Asked if his line up would comprise new faces, including a post for PKR President Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail who recently won the Kajang state seat, Azmin said all possibilities would depend on the discussions with all the parties involved.
