The house of a Hulu Langat assistant district officer in Bandar Baru Bangi was attacked with molotov cocktails, police said on Thursday.

In the 6.30am incident, the 35-year-old officer realised that his house was attacked when he saw three molotov cocktails at the compound of his residence while on his way out to work.

Kajang Police deputy chief Supt Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji said two of the bottles were broken, leaving traces of fire on his parking space.

"Besides that, the victim also found seven pieces of nine 9mm bullets placed inside a plastic bag, near the fence," he said.

Abdul Ghani said the police also found a burnt piece of cloth outside the officer's house.

He also said that the house did not have any closed circuit television camera (CCTV) and neighbours were unaware of the incident.
