Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today witnessed the presentation of the Malaysia Book of Records award for the highest number of teams participating in the 'Dota 2 Online Games' tournament at the Malaysian Cyber Games 2015 here, today.

It saw participation by 792 teams.

The Malaysian Cyber Games is a national gaming festival to boost the growth of e-sports in Malaysia as well as to unearth talented young gamers.

The winners will be made as the official Taring (Fang) team that will grant them access to financial backing in order for them to pursue their dreams to one day be called The Best in the World and help raise the Malaysian flag.

Team Taring will be the national representative pertaining to all DOTA 2 competitions.

Najib, who had closed the Umno General Assembly last night, exhibited his spirit to continue serving the rakyat (people) by greeting the youths at the event's exhibition area.

He also spent time to watch some of the exhibitions including three-dimensional printing, air-controlled drone, and interacted with an interactive 58-cm tall humanoid robot, called NAO, brought by Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM).

The award was presented by Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) founder Tan Sri Danny Ooi to Suara Anak Muda 1Malaysia chairman Armand Azha Abu Hanifah and Tune Advertising Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Muhammad Hafiz Roslan.

Suara Anak Muda 1Malaysia and Tune Advertising Sdn Bhd were the organisers.

Also present was Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.

The Malaysian Cyber Games is supported by Communication and Multimedia Ministry, Youth and Sports Ministry, Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDeC), Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and TM.
