KOTA KINABALU: Seorang lelaki cedera terkena renjatan elektrik dipercayai ketika cuba mencuri kabel di sebuah pencawang Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) di Kampung Gentisan, di sini, awal semalam.
Timbalan Ketua Polis Daerah Kota Kinabalu, Supt Kalsom Idris berkata, kejadian kira-kira 3 pagi itu disedari penduduk kampung setelah mendengar dentuman kuat sebelum bekalan elektrik terputus.
Beliau berkata, penduduk kemudian terdengar suara orang menjerit meminta tolong sebelum menemukan seorang lelaki berusia 30-an dalam keadaan lemah sambil meraung kesakitan dengan kesan kulit terbakar.
"Seorang lagi rakannya dipercayai turut cedera namun sempat melarikan diri sebelum polis tiba," katanya ketika dihubungi.
Menurutnya, lelaki yang melecur tahap dua hingga tiga di bahagian muka, leher, bahu dan tangan itu dibawa ke Hospital Likas untuk rawatan lanjut.
Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 431A Kanun Keseksaan kerana melakukan khianat harta benda awam, katanya.
