KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions), Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad, today refuted the claim that Zainab Mohd Salleh is his wife, as reported in a viral news report linked to the investigation of the littoral combat ship (LCS) project.

Dr Abdul Latiff said that, as a Cabinet member, he is ready to give full cooperation if the authorities want to carry out further investigations.

"Referring to the news report that went viral regarding the investigation of the LCS project, I stress that Zainab Mohd Salleh is not my wife as stated in the news," said the Mersing member of Parliament in a statement here today.

Earlier, PKR deputy president, Rafizi Ramli, claimed that Zainab, who is the second wife of Abdul Latiff, was involved in misappropriation in the LCS project.

Rafizi claimed that Zainab is the owner of Alizes Marine Limited, which is linked to the LCS issue.
