JOHOR BAHRU: DAP today announced all its 14 candidates for the Johor state election after naming the last two candidates for Perling and Skudai seats.

Johor DAP chairman Liew Chin Tong and Marina Ibrahim were named as Perling and Skudai candidates respectively.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng expressed satisfaction with the list of candidates who have gone through various screening as well as engagement sessions and is confident they would be capable of delivering success to the party and Pakatan Harapan (PH).

"We have gone through various screenings, engagements and meetings. The process was tedious but in the end, we achieved a consensus. Those who were not chosen would be disappointed. That's normal.

"Most importantly, we are finally united to ensure our candidates win and not the individuals contesting. The symbols and logos of DAP and PH are contesting, which must win," he said after the announcement here.

Earlier, DAP introduced 12 candidates involving the seats in Tangkak, Paloh, Mengkibol, Penggaram, Stulang, Johor Jaya, Bekok, Bentayan, Pekan Nanas, Senai, Yong Peng and Jementah.

The Election Commission has set March 12 as Johor state election polling day with the nomination of candidates this Saturday while earlier voting is on March 8.
